CITY OF STARS

City of Stars is a captivating journey into the cosmos, unraveling profound questions such as the universe’s origin, center, and purpose. Drawing on the groundbreaking insights of explorers such as Newton and Einstein, this talk bridges science and history, inspiring curious minds to pursue these questions further.

The Subtle Art of Science Communication

2 - 5 hours

Unlike traditional lectureship, science communication is about bringing sophisticated scientific concepts and findings to the populus. In this workshop, I brainstorm with my participants various public speaking and non-public speaking methods, conduct scicomm activities and highlight career opportunities in this budding field.

The Genius Unveiled

1 - 2 hours

A storytelling session exploring the lives of prominent figures in the history of science. For example, through excerpts from Einstein’s letters, I reveal how his personal life shaped his scientific pursuits, and through the 1949 GAC-AEC reports, I discuss Oppenheimer’s transformation from pro-weapon advocate to anti-weapon stance.

Divyansh Mansukhani Award for Science Communication

If I ask you to name five science communicators, I bet no indian will make it to your list. Awarded with the host institution, this award is my token of encouragement to the soldiers of scicomm. It comes with a small but significant prize money!

Srushti Desai

Srushti organised my talk at her university, thereby providing to over 100 people. She has selflessly helped me and my peers with our noble initiatives. We have grown to be really good friends over the years.

Raunak Choudhary

Raunak received this award at the Nehru Planetarium, Prime Minister's Museum and Library, Delhi for his knack for building fun demonstrations, such as DIY hydro rockets using plastic bottles and cloud chamber.

Sharanu

Once, I awarded him Cosmos by Carl Sagan with a note to keep it circulating. A few months down, I get a picture from him presenting the same book to his student as an associate professor of Physics.

Pranjali Arya

Pranjali recieved the award at the same same event Raunak did. She was highly recommended by the team at planetarium for pulling off a life-sized Moon colony exhibition before ISRO chief, S Somanath.
